Guest Speaker for ‘Up Through Education Summit’ Hosted at UCLA

June 27, 2014 | Westwood, CA – This June I will be guest speaking at the “Up Through Education Summit” sponsored by All Ways Up (formerly the Perlman Foundation) hosted at UCLA. All Ways Up is a longstanding non-profit organization that elevates the lives of disadvantaged youth and low-income families, who have demonstrated the drive and motivation to better their lives, yet are challenged with limited resources. Much like the mission and tenets of my company, J. S. Bullock & Associates, LLC, All Ways Up provides educational scholarships, financial assistance, ongoing mentorship, and much more to individuals that seek a chance to bring their ambitions to fruition.

The “Up Through Education Summit” is a 5-day, 4-night retreat designed for low-income, first generation, and recently graduated high school seniors to make a successful transition to complete college.  Forty (40) students will be in attendance, and each receives up to a $2,500 collegiate scholarship and education support in the All Ways A Scholar program. They are eligible for scholarships for up to four years in college.

On the 27th of June, I will be presenting two workshops that I have entitled:

8:00AM – 9:30AM
“Learn to Be the CEO of Your Life: Developing Your Blueprint to Success as a Student — Academically, Personally, and Professionally

and

10:00Am – 12:00PM
“If You Want to Be a Wolf, You Have to Train Like a Wolf: Time Management and Study Skills that Create Opportunities”

Both of these programs I’ve presented in different forms over the years to various audiences across the country, so I’m very excited to meet the students, as I’m sure they will inspire and motivate me just as much as I intend to do for them. I will post photos and updates momentarily!
