YMCA 8-Mile Run to the Hollywood Sign

Sunday, June 1, 2014 | Hollywood, CA – As a longtime YMCA member, I just signed up for my first Run to the Hollywood Sign race with another teammate to fundraise for the Hollywood-Wilshire YMCA. Registration fees and added donations go to support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility programs at their branch.

Following the race, there’ll be a festival celebration and awards ceremony at the Griffith Park Old Zoo Picnic Area. It’s funny… no matter how long one lives in Los Angeles, the nostalgia to get up close and personal to the historical Hollywood sign never gets old. (Well, at least not to me!)
