12th Annual Orange County Children’s Book Festival Book Reading

Sunday, October 4, 2015 | Orange County, CA – Despite the unexpected rain, this year’s Orange County Children’s Festival was another great, family-filled events. For the second year in the row, I was honored to be invited to give an author’s reading of Am I Half Giraffe?: A Multilingual Book for Children to the children and families in attendance. Two books were given away to two children volunteers that helped me during the reading to turn the pages and to show the audience the illustrations.

The Orange County Children’s Book Festival celebrated its 12th year in 2015. Last year they reported that there were over 130 authors, more than 25 illustrators, dozens of storytellers and great family-oriented entertainers. The Festival also featured over 135 booksellers, educational exhibitors and related vendors and more than 30,000 people attended last year.

For your visual enjoyment, here is a promo video featuring the festival organizers, Sandra O’Connor and Barry Ackerman.
